The Levin Center was delighted to support the Black Law Student Association for the final event of their Black History Month programming: Association President, Anaria Rambus, discussed the CROWN Act with State Senator Sarah Anthony during a student-facing Q&A session. State Senator Anthony sponsored the bill, which was signed into law by Governor Whitmer in June 2023. Students discussed the legislative process with the State Senator and the law’s real-life impact for black and mixed race Michiganders.
